Still Obsessing: McQueen Scarfs

I know the skull craze is over, but what's not to love about these scarfs?
Remember the days when Lindsay wore pants, Nicole was Ultra-fab, and MK was totally rockin'?

Happy Almost Earth Day

Be good to the earth, and the earth will be good to you.

“Herb is the healing of a nation, alcohol is the destruction.”-Bob Marley

Sneaks

I love heels, but I must say I have a soft spot for my Vans. Converse are great too. The new brightly colored Nike Dunks have also been catching my eye lately. They are amazing and the colors make me happy. :) Add a few cool accessories and sneaks can look so chic.

Gladiators

There's not much to be said here. Everyone, should have at least one pair to make it through Summer 2008. Luckily, this is a style that can be done in a variety of ways, so it's still fairly easy to be unique. Check out the styles above.

The best of Mary-Kate

Lately, fashion icon, source of inspiration, and fellow Gemini, Mary-Kate Olsen has been a little "quirky" with her fashion choices. I use the term "quirky" loosely. Between the velvet headband she wore to an event just days ago, to the blah black jumpsuit from a few weeks back, I'm really missing the Mary-Kate from previous years. 2007 was a great year for both the girls, let's hope 2008 is just off to a rough start. Above I've put together some of my favorite Mary-Kate pieces. *Sigh*

Hippie Chic

Top it off with some great hair and presto! You'll look like an extra from Dazed and Confused!

Must have: Round Sunnies

Steve Madden does Balenciaga(tries to atleast)

The shoe above is by Balenciaga. The shoe below is one of the newest "designs" by Steve Madden, which are clearly a rip-off of the shoe made famous by Balenciaga from a few seasons ago. I'm truly appalled. Not that I would wear these, but most of their appeal, to me, was that they were original. By creating a replica of such a unique piece, you take away the basis of it's appeal, and you're left with...well, this.

Celeb ispired outfits for your enjoyment :)

This is inspired by Nicole's newfound love for her minnetonkas(Spring)

Ashley and her anything-but-boring basics(Fall)

Victoria Beckham's posh flares(Spring)

Elizabeth and James At Shopbop!

Spring looks from Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen's line are now available at Shopbop.com. My favorite are these classic pair of black pants called the "Bardot Pant," which I believe were named after screen legend Bridget Bardot. Pretty cool, huh?! On a side note, Shopbop is still having their tax break sale until midnight tonight.

Craving Dresses at Victoriassecret.com

I Love dress season! Spring is all about breezy, light, and luxurious fabrics, and what better way than a beautiful day-to-night dress. Victoriassecret.com does a wonderful job of having great selections year after year. 2008 is no different. If you want to be super trendy, try a maxi dress and a ton of gold bangles!

First Beauty Post!

I promised to write about beauty products and a recent trip to Sephora has inspired me. It amazes me how some cosmetic companies try all sorts or tricks to draw attention to their products. Considering it usually takes me about an hour to properly browse through all the new products, it's a little sad that I always find myself going back to the usual isles when I want the basics. It's pretty much always the same routine: Foundation is Chanel or Clinique, lipstick is Dior, and blush/bronzer is Nars. Eyes are always covered by my favorite M.A.C products, currently unavailable at my local Sephora, but always available online. As much as I love brands such as Two-faced and Benefit, I feel that if a product is truly amazing, it will sell itself. No clever name or colorful packaging. Take Dior and Chanel for example. Although they are pricier than some of the other items, they are totally worth the extra cash. They still use their navy blue and black and white signature packaging, yet they introduce new products all the time, such as DiorSkin AirFlash Spray. A spray on foundation for face and body. Soleil Tan De Chanel. A bronzing power, which has a touch like silk. It goes to show you flashiness isn't everything. The product has to be able to withstand time and keep you going to that certain familiar isle.

The search for the perfect T-shirt...

So, for about two years now, I've been basically living in my boyfriend's over-sized tees. My favorite is a cashmere-silk blend smoked-colored T-shirt. It's a few sized too big, but it is THE most comfortable shirt I've ever worn. What is your favorite Tee?

Fall/Winter Preview: Fringe

I know it's a little premature to start talking fall fashion(considering I still have to wear a jacket during my midnight strolls), but I am already stocking up on my favorite Minnetonkas. I'm Obsessed to say the least. To my surprise, Nicole Richie has been sporting her short ankle fringe booties around L.A.- during Spring, so I guess it's not completely irrelevant to be talking about fringe now. I suggest getting a pair of booties and the taller pair which looks fab with skinnies, very Kate Moss. More on Fringe later on...

Gold Watches: Always a trend

I have never been one to wear a watch. When I need to know the time it's more likely that I look at my cell phone, computer, or ipod. Lately, however, I've been craving a classic gold watch. Of course, there's always Rolex, but below, I've listed links of some websites where you can get classic yet modern styles without breaking the bank. The watch to the left is by Guess, is water-resistant and only $135! Note: if you are intimidated by a bold watch, there are also some thinner, more feminine styles. Happy Shopping!

Summer forcast: Long and wavy

Ever since Victoria Beckham came across the pond, women all over, have tried to imitate her look. I have seen all face-shapes and body types try to do this look, and to be honest, it doesn't work on just anyone. Lucky, all that have done it in Hollywood, have done it successfully. Even Jenny McCarthy, who claims she had the coveted hair style before the posh one, looks lovely in a slightly longer version. I've seen it all through Fall'07 through now. Going into Spring now and then Summer weather, are we ready to let it go? With the warm-weather trends like the safari pieces and the hippie chic looks, we should let it hang long and loose. I'm not a big fan of above-shoulder-hair in general. For summer, I love longer hair with soft curls, a good faux tan, and a bit of bronzer. Basically anything long is o.k. by me, for a sizzling summer night. What do you think? Should we retire the bob for Summer '08? Gucci's Spring/Summer 2008 collection was accompanied by models with long loose hair.
